SAP

Standard assessment procedure (SAP) is a government process used as part of building regulations, to evaluate and compare the energy and environmental performance of a building.

• SAP rating has been a requirement for new homes since 1995, under Part L of the building regulations.
• An expert, accredited assessor is required to make an sap calculation
• This involves analysing the design plans of the proposed building - including floor plans, elevations, sections and a site plan.

SAP rating results are expressed as a figure between 1 and 100+.
The higher the sap rating, the lower the fuel costs and carbon dioxide emissions.

SAP certificate ratings inform the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), which gives a property an energy performance rating. This is legally required to be shown to prospective homebuyers, so they can assess how energy efficient a dwelling is.

If you need expert SAP assessment, then we can provide a turnaround of usually 7-10 days. Autocad, PDF documents and posted hard copy designs are all acceptable.
